So someone planned an artists weekend - how was I to know they didn't mean piss artists?
Still there was nothing for it but to pack a bag of artistic equipment and head off to Evesham fo a weekend at a country manor.
It was worth it just to stay there - our hosts were extremely accommodating (even giving us guided tours of the grounds and house they've rennovated).
We did manage to get some dry weather - well enough time to sit outside and put pencils, water colours or pastels on to paper. I went out to the woods in the morning but chose to stay inside and take inspiration from the stained glass in the afternoon.
Actually I did get inspired by the flowers in the garden so some pastels were done. I find I can only get an impression of them. I can't draw them accurately or botanically correctly. All I can try and do is give some feel of their beauty.
At least I had a go
