I went to the hospital today from the results of my blood tests.
The good news is that all of them are negative. Praise the Lord!
It's been a horrible time waiting - from the time that there was the suggestion that due to the type of the tumour (a lymphoepithelial cyst) I ought to be tested, until today when I went to the clinic, I have been on an emotional rollercoaster which has not been helped by the fact that I had a swelling in my neck which was making life very uncomfortable.
The fact is that there was very little chance that these tests could have been positive - unless another result of my failed and abusive marriage. Then again, once thoughts are placed in your mind you do worry and pick over incidents and history. I could still wonder whether Ex was faithful - but what's the point now the tests are negative. End of book; closed subject; time to move on.
More good news - since last Wednesday that swelling has not reappeared as bad - in fact if has gone down so much that it is hardly noticable at the moment.
All this must be answer to prayer - mainly the prayers of others to whom I am deeply grateful.
I feel that I can now really begin that road to recovery which is long overdue and start to live the life God wants me to have.
