A good weekend

It started with a shipmeet in central London on Friday evening. I had a really good time - I was a bit nervous about going out after being either at home or only travelling locally. I still get easily tired and I did hit "the wall" because I was busy chatting, but I got back safely.

Saturday I headed south to my mothers for a few days. I DID get a look when I walked in - the "you have not lost weight as I told you to" sort of look - then I showed her my scar and not another word was said, ALL WEEKEND!!!

Mum had booked a restaurant for Mothering Sunday so I didn't have to cook. The world's fussiest eater even found food she liked on the menu! Her one complaint? Too much to eat....no pleasing some people!

Monday Mum was adamant I had a new jacket for spring as my winter coat was "too heavy" for the warm weather. Well who am I to complain when she's offering to buy it for me. After going in and out of a few shops M&S came up trumps with a black 70s style knitted thingy.

Monday evening found me with friends at St James' Tavern for a pub quiz - and guess what? yes - we won :))) End of a perfect day.

So Tuesday I head for home, and the weather has changed. In fact I'm frozen so...

I travel back to London wearing both my new jacket and my "heavy" coat...

Nice and warm.
