Firstly I tackled the job centre this morning. So much paperwork, so many useless questions, so much bureauracy. I would not mind but no matter what the name of the benefit I'm on it's still the same amount of money (which is basically not enough to live on).
Secondly, I've thrown out the cigarettes. I haven't been physically able to smoke for over a week now and it seems silly to start again. This latest asthma and chest infection has scared the life out of me. I'd like to be able to walk across the room without coughing and wheezing. This has been a warning shot.
I've had lots of encouragement, and lots of suggestions as to how to do things. One thing is to keep a diary of what I've managed, and where God has led me, esepcially for those dark days when I don't feel I've achieved anything, or for the times when prayers don't seem to be answered.
