Hot and sticky and lethargic

Par for the course really with this weather.

Got up late, pottered and then finally summoned the energy to do some washing.

Began to write up my notes after the weekend conference. it was only a small notebook, and only a few pages but it seems to be taking forever.

People seem to be under the mispprehension that I will be giving up London and life and moving to live in a sort of hippy commune. It isn't like that at all.

It does mean that I will be trying to live my life here in London, and in my church in the way of life of the community. It enriches my day to day living, rather than taking anything away.

It won't be easy - especially being disciplined about times of prayer and living a rhythmic life. Goodness - I'm the most ill disciplined person I know when it comes to getting things done, meeting deadlines, being organised. Then again it isn't that sort of discipline in that it should not be legalistic - I won't beat myself on the back when I cock up.

Then again you do work things through with the help of a "soul friend" - a sort of spiritual director - so that is more about encouraging and advising.

Anyway, I need a shower before heading out to my home group. I'm hoping we'll have a thunder storm this evening to clear the air.
