Struggled out of bed, showered and got ready - and was out of the house at 8.00am!
In fact I was early - a combination of buses actually running and clearish roads.
The company seem friendly and a lot more relaxed than the last one - no dress code for a start. People actually talk to each other - then again it is a media company.
I'm there to do P11Ds (declarations of employee expenses for tax purposes). I haven't done them for 2 years - but then the rules and regulations change with each budget so it doesn't really matter.
I was given a pile of papers, Inland Revenue guides and a large file with last year's paperwork in. It's a case of getting a year's worth of expenses plus VAT on an Excel spreadsheet at the moment - simple enough.
It's long hours though - and I'm unlikely to get any lie ins this weekend what with people staying over Saturday night, and others using the showers as pre-arranged by my landlord. But that's another story...
