Monday evening and I head to St James' Tavern for the Monday night fun quiz.
I'm supposed to be meeting 2 friends (sisters) there and have been given the dubious task of holding a table for them.
9pm comes and the quiz is about to start and no sign of them. I feel a right plonker sitting there on my own with a blank answer sheet in my hand.
They finally arrive (separately) about 15 mins later, after the 1st round is almost complete. We only score 3.
Turns out older sister is not talking to younger sister cos she has upset her. So I'm "pig in the middle" of a sister squabble.
The rest of the quiz is done with them barely sharing answers (except with me) and buying their own drinks and sitting almost with their backs to each other.
I'm surprised we came 2nd under the circumstances.
