Somehow I've managed to find myself giving the talks at church this Sunday.
I say "talks" rather than "sermons" because it's an all age service and we usually have one for children and another for adults - although I'm pretty sure that the adults learn more from the children's talk than from their own.
I don't minddoing the talks (or mini sermons) but I do get upset when I keep being asked what am I doing? Are they done yet? What is the theme?" Especially when having agreed to to them I find my mind has gone completely blank and there is no inspiration to say or do anything at all.
I hate being nagged - it's like being a teenager again. "Have you done your homework?" "Have you cleaned your room?" "If you don't get out of bed right now you won't get any bnreakfast"
