Enjoying the space

It's amazing the freedom I have now the family are on holiday:

I can wander downstairs when I want and not be accosted by a

screaming child.

I can wander around and sit down on a seat safe in the knowledge that the youngest hasn't just peed on the floor/seat (not just pee I can tell you). Well, she is being potty trained at the moment.

I can do my washiing without having to wait for the landlady to do 5 loads first and/or empty both the washing machine and the tumble dryer because she's too "busy" to have remembered to do it.

I can cook what I like and eat when I like - disadvantage of food being inclusive of rent.

I can watch cable TV (although the landlord has blocked a lot of channels like MTV and VH1 cos he thinks they are "unsuitable" - but why he blocked E4 I'll never know).

I do my art and creative stuff downstairs, without children wanting to join in. I can actually leave things like pitcure frames and glassware I've painted out to dry.

I can sit in the garden without being jumped on.

There is NO babysitting.

So why do I miss them?
