Today has seemed unbearable - so hot, no breeze and humid. Even with all the windows open nothing seemed to cool down.
I had to go out this evening - to a 20th Wedding anniversary meal at a Moroccan restaurant. That was even hotter as we were in a private room near the kitchens. In the end people kept going outside to cool down in what breeze there was.
It was good seeing people again - and I hadn't met their sons (well I had last met the eldest when he was about 18 months old).
Home and I "borrowed" the fan that was in my landlord and landlady's bedroom - they are away and my need is great.
It's busy blowing hot air around but it may do the trick. Problem is - can I sleep through the noise?
