To humungous supermarket at the edge of town for specific goodies required for Bestest Friend's visit that weren't available in local supermarket. And oddments for one day a week work to enable the activities that facilitate my real purpose for being there. And day off goodies for me.

I am also contemplating the coming week with a fair amount of annoyance. Not because of Bestest Friend's visit, I hasten to add. That I am looking forwards to very much indeed. I'm annoyed that the extra paid work (for the normally one afternoon a week job but occasionally becomes two afternoons and a full day, sort of..) which I can't turn down has landed in this week. It all should've happened a fortnight ago, but didn't for various reasons. I had been planning on doing only the paid work this week, except the paid work has burgeoned owing to this postponement, and then there's the new job that I didn't know about when we organised this week.... I am dreading the last week of term, as I feel in my bones there are going to be Horrible, Horrible clashes.

So, I'm thinking of skiving out of Sunday Evening Church so we can have most of a day out. And possibly find ourselves some other church with some worship of the variety we both love and rarely get. Can't remember who's on the rota for leading and if this will cause chaos, though.

Today has been blissfully solitary, which is just as well, because the next ten days most definitely are not going to have much solitude in!
