What I did

I did manage to get some stuff done..
- sorted my Japanese notes and did some studying
- didn't go for a short walk - spent too long on Japanese and was too hungry to go for a walk before lunch
- had lunch in front of the TV (old recorded episode of CSI)
- decided that having to clear the Japanese stuff out of the way to get sewing stuff out was the wrong way around, so did some more Japanese after lunch (including homework to hand in - only my 2nd since September!!!)
- went swimming (hooray!)
- sorted out my kit, tidied up the Japanese, got sewing stuff out ready. Tried to get machine set up, but the thread tension is all wrong. Spent about an hour with the destructions for the machine, but no joy. :o( Mr Moog also had a look when he got in, but we couldn't figure it out.
- made some dinner
- went to Japanese lesson and handed in homework. While I felt a bit behind, I also felt quite good about the bits that I had gone over and remembered!!
- came back and spent the rest of the evening in front of the telly with Mr Moog, an unusual pleasure for a Wednesday evening

Today the snow was pretty bad. The reports from around the country at 6am were pretty awful. So hubby decided that it wasn't worth the effort driving down the country and came back to bed. He's been working from home. I wasted the whole morning trying in vain to sort out my sewing machine. The wierd thing is that my plain white normal thread seems ok. The actual thread for the tunic I am making doesn't want to play the game. I have tried different needles, adjusing the thread tension,... Grrrr. I have given up. I am going to put it away where it can't wind me up anymore, wait for my Mum to come back from Holiday and then try to get her to come to visit so she can try to help.

Tomorrow I am supposed to be driving to Stevenage for a meeting. It's still snowing, supposed to carry on until Midnight and then freeze. I am not sure whether I'll end up going... The weather forecast doesn't make it sound too promising!
