At the allotments where we have our plot there are loads of brambles along the fence between the allotments and the park. Today I picked a goodly quantity of blackberries and intend to make a blackberry fool. Not sure when though, when I start on these things it's after Munchkin has gone to sleep and I have since done washing/washing up/hanging washing/sorting food/shopping, so at the point I start doing something like making fool (or whatever I want to do that isn't a daily priority) I get interrupted and it doesn't get finished (eg blogging, e-mailing, etc.).
Time at the allotment today was good - the weather was fab, and munchkin wasn't in the mood for sleeping so I spent the time I wasn't picking blackberries feeding him while hubby and a friend did the digging and other hard work. The beans (french and runner) are coming to an end, and there's lots of work to do for the winter veg (planting out spring cabbage seedlings, kale, ...) as well as digging over where things have finished not to mention the back half of the allotment which is covered in weeds and now black plastic. The parsnips are doing very well and I am looking forward to the harvest in a month or two. The purple sprouting is also doing well so far and that's something I am very excited about!
Anyhow, munchkin is asleep and I didn't get much kip last night so am going to make the most of it and get to bed asap. Sorry it's been so long - I'll try to keep more up to date...
