My ambitions to eat that little bit healthier and do that bit more exercise have been going ok (I think!) but tonight have gone a bit awry. I have to say that I enjoyed my (gluten free) chicken and mushroom pie and chips (with peas!) and am now rather enjoying my second glass of white wine. I have tried to walk a bit more with the boys when I could have jumped in the car, and we have hopefully been eating less buttery sauces, etc. Mostly thanks to the summery weather which has led to us eating a lot more salads!! I am pleased to say that our first lettuces down at the allotment are nearly read to pick and we have already had some home-grown radishes. The broad beans are also getting close - I can't wait to eat some of those!
Hubby has been working hard on it all over the last few weeks and we have lots of things growing in the allotment as well as various seedlings getting going in our plastic greenhouse in the garden. He also spent some time planting out tomato plants and strawberry plants into tubs with the boys. They were given the little kits as a present at Easter which they did with hubby and they have done quite well!
