Wow, I can't believe that it's already time for the new school year.. I am staying at my parents house at the moment and there's a school up the road, so the school buses and children walking at 8.15am were an obvious reminder of the time of year.
It's been an extremely busy summer! Since I last blogged, I have done ridiculously long hours at work for a week, preparing for the Japanese trip; been to Japan and done the all important presentation (among other things); had my homeward flight cancelled because of a typhoon; made it to Greenbelt - Hurrah! (straight from the airport); had a week off at home with hubby (lots of shopping, reading and gardening) and come to Nottingham for 5 days at home learning how to use my sewing machine (under my mum's supervision).
All of which has been rather exciting, but I do think I will have to split the details up into a few seperate blog postings.
Tonight my parents are taking me out to a get-together of all the people who deliver the parish magazine for their local church, then we're going out for a meal. I wonder if there will be anyone I know there? It's always odd to come home because lots of people know me in the village and they stop and talk to me but a lot of the time I am left thinking 'I can't for the life of me remember who that actually is'! having just blagged my way through an entire conversation of them asking me how my life is, where I am living now, etc. At least Mum and Dad will be there tonight to remind me who's who!!!
