Still not really sure whether I am happy, or annoyed about this one.
The other evening, I bought a new digital camera from a shop (part of a large Electrical chain) in Iida. I had trouble with my credit cards. I tried both, and both requested authorisation. I decided which one I wanted to go through it all with, and after an hour of telling them all the tiny details associated with my account (and my husbands details, as it's joint) it finally went through. hurrah! I am now the proud owner of a new 5 Megapixel digital camera. However, the point of the story is that my husband has a card on the same credit account, and when he tried to pay for something yesterday, he was referred to the people in the fraud office!!!!! Because you can't get from Japan to England in that short a space of time. You'd really have thought that if the computer were that clever, it would also have figured out that there are two cardholders on the account??? But at the same time, it's good that they are worried about fraud and actively chasing things up... I just wish they'd contact you if they're putting a stop on your account because of suspected fraud - after all, it's you they're trying to protect isn't it (and my mobile does work out here...)?
