Thankyou to all the people who supported me in whatever way on Friday. Everything went well, and I am happy with the outcome.
I quit my job. I haven't been to work for about 3 months (for reasons I'll explain in a different post), and on Friday I went to see talk to my bosses and told them that I wasn't going back. It feels funny, the idea of not having a job, and not having another one to go to (yet). My husband is an absolute star and is very supportive. It still feels odd.
Having said that, with weather like today (in the Midlands area of the UK), it's impossible to work/think anyway. Case in point: I went to the Co-op earlier to get some grow bags for our tomatoes. I picked up some other things as well. I got to the checkout and paid using one of those newfangled thingies to pay with my chip and pin card. It's one of the ones where they don't put it in for you, it's at the customer side of the checkout and you put it in yourself, follow the instructions, take it out when the machine tells you to, pick up your shopping and go. Assuming you rememebr to take out the card. D'oh!!!!!!!!!!! It was some time later on in the afternoon when I realised that my card was not in my wallet.
Thankfully, the nice people at the Co-op had kept it for me in an envelope.
It's a shame that my brain seems to have melted in the sun. Probably a good job I am not at work really....
