well, we have a tank ... actually, we have a very large hole in the ground AND a tank (which almost had a wallaby in it, the hole that is, yesterday, but that's a whole other story).
The tank was poured on Wednesday, the lid was poured on Thursday, the man with the digger should turn up next Saturday to fill in the big hole .... and then we start with the grass seed.. and hopefully rain!
It's a concrete tank (we're not on town water) with an extra thick cap, so it can buried and driven over. We've put it around the back of the house so it won't be driven over all that often, but there won't be a problem with the odd ride on lawn mower or anything like that. Neither of us can stand what seems to be the normal state of affairs down here with regards to tank placement - stick it out the front so it's easily accessible ... I just don't want to look at the thing, so I'd rather spend a bit of money on the excavator and the extra thick cap and get the thing underground.
I'm not worried about needing to access it as the guy who makes them has 2 or 3 of his own, so you'd have to trust his work :) ... and mum/dad have had a concrete tank for 30 years now with not one single problem.
Will be putting pics up soon, just getta get myself back into the swing of posting them :)
