of what the heck has been happening?

well ... work, massive amounts of busyness for both of us.

It's that time of year (which I LOVE, don't get me wrong!) so of course it's present buying and card writing (only 15 done so far but I have big ambitions for tonight!) - I also have ambitions to finally put up my WISE pic, SO SORRY to the sender, it will happen I promise!

We've finished excavating (well, Arthur and the big green excavator have) and are now forking over the dosh.  Also sowing grass seed and hoping it'll grow while we're away - doesn't really matter if it doesn't survive long, just a good way to get a little bit of stuff happening on the virgin slopes of the new terrace and the extended area in front of the shed.

Also filling in forms to go to the building surveyor, talking to the builder, buying bits and bobs for bargain prices on Grays Online Auction Site, having items stored in the shed moved out by the owner, receiving items from Mr Tasmania's sister (lovely green leather couch, antique dining table and antique sideboard, tv cabinet), gardening madly at the shack, mowing and whipper snipping at the block, trying to get a bit organised well in advance for the family arriving end Jan 09, making a list of places to go, things to see, and things to achieve in our two weeks in NSW over Christmas / New Years (which includes lining the entire verandah roof of mum/dad's house with mini-orb) etc etc etc - and this in the midst of increasingly bizarre and changeable weather - and none of this weather bears any semblence whatsoever to Summer!

My wish for my Christmas hols at mum and dads?  To spend at least part of it whinging enormously about how hot and sweaty I am - and I'll have a big smile on my face the whole time I'm saying it!

We're happy but exhausted :)
