I have just received, at my desk, a present from Orthodox Ian!
He did tell me a while back that his engagement present for Mr Tasmania and myself was on it's way ... and then emailed me a few days ago to tell me it was nearly here ... and there it is, on my desk!
Very cool getting presents at work, I like it!
It's a gorgeous Icon of the Wedding at Cana, made by the nuns of Holy Cross Monastery, Mangrove Mountain, on the Central Coast west of Sydney and is very beautiful. And very special because if reflects Ian and Orthodoxy ... I've always loved the icons that he puts up on his blog, they're always so beautiful and interesting :)
If I was more organised and had sorted out a flickr account or something of that sort I'd put a pic up to show you but as it happens I'm not that organised ... maybe one day :)
