Various shots of Cradle Mountain, Dove Lake with Cradle Mountain in the background, the river along the Enchanted Walk, a pademelon, my well dressed for the weather parents in the snow at the Waldheim Chalet. I've always wondered why it was called Cradle Mountain 'cause it didn't remind me of a baby's cradle, which is the explanation I'd been given. HOwever we were told on Saturday that the original 'cradle' was actually a miner's rocking cradle, into which they shovelled rocks etc and rocked it in the running water of a creek to wash away the dross and get what they were after - and I can see that, so that explanation makes sense to me.
