I do like it, very much, makes me happy no matter what I'm doing and what's going on in my life.
I ordered 40 Callistemon Pallidus today, Lemon Honeysuckle, which will be planted along the back fence of our block, behind the shed, to eventually form a windbreak 3 - 4m high. As we're on quite a steep hill this will mean that we get a windbreak, we don't see the back neighbours, they don't see us, but they still keep their view of Table Cape - everyone's a winner baby, that's the truth! (sorry, they just played some Hot Chocolate on the telly!)
I planted out some pansies, daisies, salvia (purple and red) today, in the garden at the front. I'm gradually filling it with flowery, shrubby things, and lots of bulbs that will come through them. My next research project is winter flowering plants - and not just little white flars either, I want showy! It gets a bit 'Australian' down here in Winter, by which I mean dark green / khaki green ... and that's about it! So a little colour, either through plants or garden 'objects' will brighten things up.
We made a start with two gorgeous cobalt blue pots, which look fabulous against the black walls of the shack - and will look even better once we put some bright red cordyline in them :)
