Or so I say to myself. As yet I've not had any response to my weekend E Mails, either on the furry feline or the 'C' front. Nor whilst we're at it, have I had any notification from my tutor of the safe arrival of my latest work of genius. Which is every so slightly worrying considering that it was he who put me on to this 'read receipt' lark, after a previous assignment went AWOL for over a fortnight. Yes, yes, I realise that its working does depend on co-operation from the recipient ( the time I received the message 'this message was deleted from the recipient's computer without being read at...' I scrubbed the chap from my circulation list forthwith!), but still... Cross.
Mr Miff just staggered in off one of his training rides, covered in mud but in one piece for a change. (on one recent spin he was proceeding along the Queen's highway in an orderly fashion when a sheepdog shot out of a nearby farm and made sundry alterations to his tracksuit bottoms). I wasted a disgraceful amount of time today pondering how I'm going to set up a blog for his big tour. Considering that it'll be Yours Truly operating it, it'll need to be fairly foolproof, and preferably free. I've investigated a few possibles, courtesy of Dave's technical tips somewhere in the bowels of the wibsite (Thank you, Dave, and hope your tooth or lack of it, feels better soon!) For looks, Typepad seems way ahead of the others, but the freeness only extends to the first 30 days, and after that I'm too stingy to fork out for even the basic setup. After all, the blog will likely only have a limited life. Little brother has passed details of blogger.com on to me. This might be more the ticket - and in absence of photos Mr Miff might even be able to send in audio files (or maybe not if he's atop a mountain at the time). Any advice from those of you of a more technical bent than myself would be gratefully received.
