Sorry folks. We had a mini wine tasting session after tea, thanks to Mr Miff deciding during an idle moment at work that he wanted a free clock. Just don't ask. That was certainly an interesting half hour spent travelling the world wine-wise, and from the way I'm feeling now, brain- wise also. Although we couldn't be persudaded to buy anything. I now feel not unlike an elephant with the mother of all migraines. Let's hope it works its way out of my system promptish or else tomorrow morning will be ever so slightly awkward. I had enough trouble this morning with the work alarm going off as I entered and making a noise fit to wake the dead. (Plus half the town after it had been blaring on for 15 minutes, resisting all my attempts to disarm it.) The way I feel atm if it happens again, I'm likely to drop down with sheer shock, and will probably be found in a snivelling heap on the doorstep by the rest of the staff when they arrive later.
My tutor just mailed to confirm that yes, he has received my work, so I think the answer to my 'are my e-mails being eaten up by some strange cyberbeing or are folk simply too busy to reply?' query is the latter. Ah well. Patience is a virtue, as they say. Or as the rather gloomy chap who appeared as I was finishing work this morning bearing a shiny clean 'disposal unit,' (oh, the excitement!) said (after regaling me with an incredibly convoluted tale about the van breakdown that prevented him calling yesterday) - 'these things are sent to test us!' So true.
