I have just been in to visit my old school - I left 2 years ago. The school was an extremely 'challenging' one. Events included getting sworn at daily, chairs thrown around - and once one hit me on the head, various acts of violence towards other teachers. Basically your worst nightmare. Things haven't improved though it was quieter with only 3 year groups in. I saw most of the staff that were there when I was, which was lovely, caught up on things, and left again. I sort of feel guilty that I moan about the job I have now, but at least I know it could be so much worse.
I am going to go and celebrate their end of term with them in a while. (Down the pub!)
