The phone rings...

It's a call I have been expecting. The voice on the at the other end says "go now, but with even more haste than normal". I am ready - shoes are by the phone, so I take off my socks, then another pair, then another pair - all in all 5 pairs of socks come off my feet. I put my shoes on and run down stairs. Get to the bottom of the stairs and realise that I have left a shoe upstairs. Stumble up again and grab the shoe, back down and meet up with an unnamed person and we leave. We reach our destination, I turn to my friend and say "do we have a battering ram?". It was at this point I realised I had broken an unwritten rule (is that even possible?).

I should explain that the house I was called to in haste was that of a teacher I used to work with 6 years ago. She was having serious problems with Ian Beale and some other man. It was thought she was in physical danger.

I was going as a member of the TA rapid response group - on standby at all times. The rule I had broken was that I should make contact with the person inside the house to ensure they would not be put into immediate danger by our arrival.

Does any of this make sense? Well, most dreams don't.

I can however, explain a couple of things - when I visited my old school the other day I saw the teacher who was in my dream, she used to be in the TA. Last night while out for a drink attention was drawn to the fact that the chef looked like Ian Beale. As for the rest of it - who knows?
