Eventually made it into the shower a little before mid-day!!!
Once lunch was over resumed attempts to book a holiday. A very helpful travel agent told us that the best deals would come a couple of days before we wanted to go. So infact no decisions have been made - other than to go back on Monday.
Mum was in hospital for a couple of days but came home today. Her biggest concern was that she had caused problems because she was ill after the General Anaesthetic they gave her!
Anyway life continues peacefully.
