I was at music group practice tonight and wondered about a few of the instructions...
"With feeling" rarely have I seen an instruction at the top of a worship song which says 'without feeling' or 'show no emotion here'
"Thoughtfully" granted people might not think about it but again no comments on 'just sing it, don't think about it' or 'give no consideration to the words of this song'
"Rhythmically" 'please do play this song without any rhythm whatsoever' 'make sure there is no beat that people can pick up on'
"With Energy" 'just sing it as though you have a million other places to be' 'sing it with a hangover to give the impression that every note is a pain' 'slouch and mumble'
Just wondering.
