but my cat is doing her best to make me think I am.
She had been missing for a while earlier and I began wondering where she was. I opened the front door and in she ran. I had no recollection of letting her out but figured I must have done.
Later, after vacuuming I had lost the cat again I opened the front door and there she was waiting. Now this time I knew I hadn't let her out the front.
So this cat of mine, when let out of the front can't work out how to get round to the back where the catflap is, but when she goes out the back is perfectly able to find her way round to the front.
I don't understand her.
