The phone rang, I looked at my alarm clock, it said 6.58, I answered and a voice said 'they are coming early' it was the lady who was going to be taking delivery of my bed but wasn't cos I wasn't going to work today. I had tried to change the details but was obviously too late!
So at 6.49 I jumped out of bed, moved all my stuff out of the way, deflated the airbed and went downstairs, where sure enough, a great big turquiose lorry drove up.
They came in with parts of my bed and took them upstairs, one of the blokes apologised for being so early. Once everything was in I signed and they went. The whole thing was over by 7.00. By 7.15 I was on the mattress now with plastic wrapping removed and sheets on and going to sleep again.
I still have to make the bed itself - literally that is.
