Detentions

There was a boy in lunchtime detention today, and it was my turn to do it. I arrived, handed him my key and asked him to go to my room collect a set of 'Connections' off of the front table and take them to a different classroom. He returned, said he had no problem and gave me my key back.

After lunch when I went back into my classroom the power cable for this very laptop had completely disappeared from the socket it was in. My first thoughts weren't very polite to be honest. I looked in a couple of draws but found nothing. I was not happy.

I then spotted the 'Connections' still on the front desk. I began to wonder, took the books, went to the classroom which is their home and just as a teacher was starting a lesson removed the spare power cable and put the books in the cupboard.

Strange! Serves me right for not saying books, except I thought I had.

It was PCC tonight, honestly there are some people who would drive you to drink. So I am having a glass of wine. It often astounds me how little time we spend on spending thousands but how much time we spend of a few quid.
