I was extremely glad to find out from Diamond Geezer about a programme on Harry Beck and his underground map it was - and is still a work of pure genius. The only problem with the programme was that it was meant to be starting from a rather more basic place than where I am. Still, it was good to see things like putting in an imaginary tube line.
To top it off Diamond Geezer then linked to a new site called Transport Direct which is designed to cover the whole of Great Britain to plan journeys. It is still early days for the site but I reckon it will be pure genius when it gets there.
Don't you just love a good map?
