My cat and the vet

For some years I have taken my cat to the vet for her jabs, it was a few years ago that the vet commented on how grumpy* she^ was, and that there is a note on the computer to that effect. I reassured her that she had just had a bad visit the year before and normally she's fine. I was embarrassed thoroughly in the next 10 minutes by the most vicious cat ever, "she's ever so friendly, loves sitting on people's laps, almost brushes herself she's so keen" and that sort of thing. When the same happened the following year I just accepted it.

Last night was when her visit was planned for, I apologised frequently to her in the car on the way over and when I took her in to the waiting room enquired how long we would have to wait 'as my cat is a bit psycho' 'oh not long - you're next' 20 mins later we went in, I had spent the previous 20 mins looking like a fool as I tried to stop her seeing too much of what was going on in the room (her carrier has slits of viewing potential).

Anyway, she really wasn't bad, the warning is still there, but apart from some hissing when the needle went in she was reasonably good (I held her paws at one stage - the vet was looking at her^^ teeth).

I was proud of my little cat and right now she^^^ is lying next to me snoring.

* grumpy was the polite version - plain nasty was more like it
^ the cat, not the vet
^^ still the cat, not the vet
^^^ it's hardly going to be the vet is it?
