My mother has managed to pull intercostal muscles (left hand side ribcage(and has inflamed the cartilage in between the ribs, through persistent coughing. The cough is still there, and is causing even more trouble that usual as she is in so much pain. At least so far at our doctors, she's been able to see the same doctor for this, that is treating the cough, and all her other ailments (of which there are several; the pharmacy needs strong carrier bags for her repeat prescription requests. Paper bags just don't do the job!) There's been lots going on, and as we enter December, that will only increase as we prepare for Christmas!
