Dear Lord
Somehow, despite everything
The insecurities of jobs
The backbiting that comes as a result of insecurity
Please help us to feel your love,
and to show that love to each other.
Help us to support and look after each other
Rather than turning in on each other
All governments will experience the same need
for reducing spending
Despite everything being thrown at us
Help us to see You through it all Lord
Help us to show Your message through our actions
We pray that through Your grace we will see ways through
The worry, the fear, the sight of no money in the bank account when you need it,
The sight of no food in the cupboards or fridge
The tears of a friend working in a hospital, or of a friend in a wheelchair who has had her care package cut,
Through Your grace, Lord, We can be, and we can be good.
