I've been working with a new learner this lesson. He comes from a far eastern country, and he's quite quiet, so I think everyone thinks he needs lots of help. I would say he needs help, but not a lot! He has just read a passage in a comprehension book to me that I was worried was too difficult for him. He read it with no prompts from me whatsoever. And English is not his first language! My heart leaped when I heard the confidence of his reading. It is times like these that make this job worth doing!
