We're raising money to keep my church going. We have been working so hard to raise money and to attract others in the community to the church. I know its the tip of the iceburg but at least we're trying. yesterday someone from the Diocese of Worcester came to preach. He made me, my friend and my mum really angry. He was making it sound like the hard work we had already done was worth nothing at all. Andrew his name was. I appreciate that this activity is going to be on-going, as is the financial difficulties, but we all felt quite disillusioned and upset by it. It isn't just the uphill struggle we have because many people don't believe in God in Christian terms. It's much worse when we are seemingly criticised by a church bigwig. The maxim "Do not defecate on your own doorstep" springs to mind...unless the Church of england secretly does want to lose all its dedicated members...
