Although expatriate Western Christians are free to gather and worship, no church made up of Moroccan Christians is recognised by the government and there are strict laws against sharing the Gospel with Muslims.

The activities of Moroccan Christians are usually closely monitored by the police. They frequently face discrimination and harassment from families, communities, local authorities and in the workplace.

One of the great needs of the Moroccan Church is for trained Christian leaders. Many converts are isolated and have little or no fellowship with others. Many are fearful of relating to other Christians as there are considerable risks for doing so.
