and much laundry has been washed. Now, to help me through the remaining 26 pages of my 116, I shall need the services of Mrs Tiggywinkle who has not been in evidence for about 10 days.

While I have been beavering away, I have had visits from Germany, Argentina and the Czech Republic. One of these visitors was asking "does anyone have anything good to say about Russian vines?" Well, yes, I do. Since about 22 April or thereabouts, my plant has grown an amazing 8 feet - in length - as opposed to those parts of the anatomy at the bottom of one's legs. It is covering a rather boring wall quite nicely. I would suggest, however, that as I understand it can be very invasive that it is planted in a large pot rather than in the ground to prevent it from having ideas of world domination.

I apologise for the rather tedious nature of posts recently. You may have gathered that nothing much of interest is going on (that is, of even less interest than usual...). I have a feeling that things may improve towards the beginning of next month - if you can bear with me for that long....
