This post has a twin. They should be read as a pair. (Not together, obviously....unless you are possessed of a pair of eyes that can see in two separate places and a brain that can take in two separate sets of information).
Things I love about Advent:
1. The star on the church tower
2. Mulled wine/Glühwein
3. Receiving a small avalanche of Christmas cards every day
4. Hanging my Christmas cards up and feeling that my friends are near (aaahhh)
5. White lights in windows and on trees
6. Advent wreaths, the candles and the pine/orange/cinnamon aroma
7. Frosty days and nights
8. My nativity set - which this year has the addition of the two Hummel figures who fit in rather well in size and theme. The little girl is offering an Edelweiss to Joseph and the little boy is stomping in with his rucksack on his back...
9. Learning new carols
10. My advent calendar - not as good as last year's tea advent calendar, though. Remember?
11. The building anticipation......
