I have just finished the first of the two documents for the assignment mentioned in the post below. During the day, I was asked by another client to do a couple of sentences for a client specialising in pasta sauces. This required using the same translation software as I was using for Vivaldi. A translation memory is created for each end-client. - You can see what's coming, can't you? -
I forgot to close down the pasta sauce memory and reopen the Vivaldi memory. So now I have about 1000 words on stock ordering systems in the pasta sauce memory - no doubt making a right old minestrone.
I'm not sure how to transfer one memory to another - or even if it is possible. It's too late to try to work it out now. I'm not even sure I want to try at all as knowing my technical skills I'll end up losing it all or getting in a worse mess than I am already.
