All my German clients have the day off today for their national day. I think HandyAndy must have picked up along the way that today is a holiday. I have seen neither hide nor hair of him yet and he's usually on the doorstep at 8 o'clock.
In other news: a prospective new client in Austria has nibbled at the bait of the little marketing exercise I carried out a week or so ago. They want to see examples of tourist literature I have done. I'm racking my brains trying to remember which companies have been the beneficiaries of my flowery prose about their delightful/relaxing/awe-inspiring/unique resorts. I file my work by agency and job number. It's going to take a while to dig through that lot to come up with the required samples. It'll have to wait until next week - I'm off oop North for a baby's christening this weekend.
And in other other news: I think I've worked out what to do with the translation memories. Import the pasta sauce into the stock ordering systems memory. And then delete the pasta sauce segments from the stock ordering systems memory. Ta-daa! Well, it makes sense to me - and I'm pretty sure it's do-able - just a bit of a faff when I haven't got lots of spare time.
