My gentle reader has asked for an update on my Advent tea-drinking activities. I confess to being quite astonished that the good ee - or anyone for that matter - is remotely interested. I was berating myself earlier for inflicting such matters upon my readership. I wondered if I should continue and was in a dilemma as I did not want to bore you all to death but nor did I like the idea of an incomplete list.
Sadly, though it must be somewhat incomplete for I thought I had kept the teabag wrappers in a safe place - but clearly it was not safe enough for I cannot find the wrapper for day 6. Another failure to add to my increasing list....
Day 6: Can't remember
Day 7: Kräutertee - herb tea (not very distinctive)
Day 8: Weißer Tee Lychee - Lychee white tea (astonishingly lychoid (!))
Day 9: Liebesfrucht - Fruit of love tea with fruits of the forest (quite blackberryish)
Day 10: Rooibostee:Erdbeere-Sahne - Strawberries and cream rooibos tea (the taste did not reflect the aroma)
Day 11: Darjeeling (an old favourite)
Day 12: Blutorange - blood orange (quite orangey)
Day 13: Zeit der Entspannung - time to relax tea (don't think I'll be doing much relaxing with this tea...)
Day 14: Grüner Tee - Apfel und Gingko - Apple and Gingko green tea (very appley)
More failures to confess to: I am behind on my daily cup (I was also behind on opening the doors on my Advent calendar, but I'm up to date now, you'll be pleased to learn). I will try to catch up before the season is over! But I want to savour the new experiences - not just drink the tea on the hoof, as it were. I'll do my best for you all. Promise!
In fact, I'll start right now and rewind to Day 15 of Advent. Report to follow.
