Spent the day busy, which kind of clobbers the day of rest thing but each day is more than booked up until next saturday and that's when things go all over the place :)

Anyhow, leaflets out to all and sundry (3 schools, 2 youth groups, 2 brownie packs, library, shops etc), first 6 pages painted with their background colours, filed (sort of, that was a huge task) all of the art materials currently bought and sorting out those that need to be bought in the next few days. Taking a little while off now before, I think, planning out the college days I'll be teaching.

Less than a week to go. ARRRGH!

Anyhow, for the first time I'm actually looking forward to the Big Book Draw :) Not to say that I wasn't before but before I was ticking off things on a horribly huge list. I'm still doing that but at least now I can say that some of the things that need ticking are not ticked and the list for this coming week is looking a little more managable. Funny enough it was seeing the 6 coloured pages, blank but itching to be filled, that has brought about the slight change in temper which is cool. I'm in a weird state of anticipation (and, of course, praying that someone'll actually turn up, that'd be nice).

Anyhow, monday's got a meeting in it, tues is teaching at college and arts centre in the evening, weds is book fest all the way, thurs is teaching all day and all evening and friday is panicky planning for anything I've missed. Wifey's supply teaching for three and a half of the days as well so it's going to be tense at the least. But thinking about how much fun it is, and it was loads of fun last year, has started to get the juices going. Not that I can't wait (I can, I don't want this week to go fast at all) but... we'll see...

Also had a couple of small positives over the past week, people encouraging me about the books unprompted, others helping me with leaflets, that sort of thing. Is good.
