Strange place this week... Today is the 21st birthday of a top nephew: all of the kids in that family are just the awesomest of kids and it'll be nice to spend time with the family as we celebrate the day. Happy Birthday that there fella.
Yesterday we had a phone call to say that one of wifey's relations had passed away (they were both the same age) in what seems to be a reaction caused by a medicine prescribed to clear up a chest infection.
All told it's just a very strange place this year: more partings that I can remember from any year prior and leaves me (and others I've spoken to) feeling unsettled and sad. I'm not far off of that age myself and am not exaactly physically fit not proportionally correct... Had recently read some of Doug Tennapels blog (www.tennapel.com) (although not kept up with it and am surprised to read the latest entries where he finished his blog....) where he said that he was wanting to become fitter not for himself, as he didn't have that much willpower, but for his wife because he couldn't imagine the alternative should something happen. I think that's where I've now found myself (although how I set things off is anyone's guess, shall have to work on that one later but for the moment a lawn needs mowing before we set off to visit the newly 21year olded nephew).
