So Christmas can finally be started, soko, because the last gig has now been gigged... We did a recreation of the open air Christmas gig in the art centre. Couple of massive road bumps this time, primarily my third worker saying at short notive she couldn't make it in which should, by rights, have seen me cancelling the gig itself. We didn't, but it's a close run thing as to whether it was the right decision in ways and I've got a horrible feeling this may all come back to bite me...
Anyhow, now that we've finished I feel kind of deflated. A couple of things happened to make me feel somewhat squashed all told: complaint from neighbour which I know is going to make my life messy over the next short while, a small bust up with someone I like which was resolved but still leaves me feeling a little slapped around, other youthworkers... How to put it? We had a lot of work on, sure, but at the end of the day it was me doing the clearing up of the rubbish rather than a team effort... That was a little diconsolating, that and the fact that I had a text message asking me to get some paperwork finished... Sigh...
Anyhow the gig itself was excellent! The bands played a stormer again and I'm lucky as wotsit to be a part of all this. Very exciting. Maybe a good sleep is what I need and, if so, thursday is that day that that is all booked in for. Apart from that dog tired at mo. Hopefully the excitement will kick back in soon, once I know I've cleared out the complaint and all that.
