Funny old week...

It's strange, this week has been the highs and the lows yet I feel strangely oblivious to it all. Oddly I'm happily oblivious, which is possibly something to do with my adrenaleine levels coming back to human standards as opposed to some sort of mix of rocket fuel and pain suppressing sedative.

On the plus side there have been two amazing gigs with teens who I'm truly honoured to be working with and enjoy almost every second of our association together. It's funny, after the evaluation of the gigs to see what did and didn't work I'm finding myself realising just what a cool job I have... Running the arts centre is long, tiring and occasionally thankless, yet when we build up to something and it works it's the most amazing thing ever. Thene there's been a couple of comments and compliments from people about the youthwork side which came in at exactly, to the nanosecond, at the right time. Then, of course, there's been daughter's successes this week (winning five competitions so far, hey, there's still a few hours left) and daughter and sons nativity shows which were both lovely.

On the downside there's been a couple of complaints about noise and stuff at the centre and someone else has been playing things a little close to the wire in a way which I can't see ending happily too quickly. We shall see, there's prayer there but even so I've got to come down heavy on a form of behaviour which is a role I never enjoy having to do but having exhausted patience on the event I think there are fewer and fewer options available to me. There's also work to be done and energy levels are low following the gigs yet a few things that need doing before the centre is set down for the year... I'm also in the dull point of doing the Christmas cards for the year. I always draw cards each year, this year I've done five different designs (but only drawn four so far...) Now that they are printed it's down to the fun side of things: cutting them out and sticking them on cards backgrounds. Yay. But I like it really, the process rather than the time it takes...

Righto, off to the next task to be done, back soon with images I hope.
