Brief update:

despite sinking feeling that it wouldn't be the Colts day was pleased to see their comeback from the opening salvo of the Chicago Bears. Not that I'm a huge American Footie fan (haven't watched it for two years but wanted to splurge and watch the Superbowl this year with a bottle of wine given me on Saturday when I led a cartoon session for a gathering of Girl Guide leaders). Was good, fell aslepp during the half time show (which isn't an indication of what I feel about Prince's bility as a showman - very good - but more to do with the fact that I'd been digging an allotment with 8 Guidford youth groupers and then gone on to a moderatley interesting church service with some of them thereafter). Managing to make it through the majority of the show was an achievment I feel and, as always, Gary Imlach is just the most likeable, watchable sports commentator there is. So cool to see him take the reigns of the Bowl which is his rightful place. If you're ever after a good book to read his 'My father and other working class heroes' is an excellent piece of work. Well worth a read and captures the heart and communicability of his commentatory ( :P ) to a tee.

Woke up at 6 when son boy came in to wake us up (we've bought him a digital clock and told him he's not allowed in if the first number is lower than 6 - which works beautifully. I mean he comes in on the dot of 6 and sayd 'number starts with...' to which we have to reply '6' and he then says 'mum and dad are...' to which we have to reply 'happy...' which is an OK way to start the day and a heck of a lot better than the 4 or 5am starts we had for a long time... Then went back to sleep til 10 and then the day started all over. Today is finishing up images from the Ypod gig (there was a picture of This Years Dropouts which was ace but missed out of the guys in the group. Two hours of photoshop later (which yes I know I didn't have to do but there was no way I wasn't going to do it) and Matt is now restored into his rightful place and the mage looks pretty cool if I say so myself. Some cool shots of Innovia and Hannah but sadly not of the finale (I NEED a new camera this is ridiculous. Not that I'll ever take photos as well as Charlie Willis does but regarldess...)

Then it's tidy up a bit - we have some mold in one of the bedrooms (old house, single brick) which needs a bit of clearing out, then off to work and then sleep at midnight. Yay :)

New review in of Sylver 2 in from the School Librarian's Association quarterly magazine. I'm trying to be glass half full on this one. There are a couple of criticisms that are in there which I think are more the reviewer than the book and a couple of criticisms that I think are pretty fair. Some of the comments are good and positive so hopefully I can take that into the writing of book 3 and end Everything with a big finale :) Anyhow some of the quotes:

I found myself liking and caring for the characters and they drew me into the story and kept me reading. The Christian aspect is also handled well - it is openly addresed and belief is not imposed upon the reader, in fact it is questioned throughout the story... this story does have a heart which gives it a warmth and vibrancy.
