New and old artwork... oh and a hint at a new book cover.

Been a while since I uploaded some artwork, and to be honest it's been a while since I've had much of a chance to do much artwork, but here are some pieces which have recently seen the light of day, despite being completed (in the case of the first three images) a couple of months ago...
This was a cover for a Diocese brochure on ... Hmm don't know what really, the brief was to do something based on a toolbox and this was the final piece approved by the client... Haven't seen it printed up yet, hope to do so soon.
This was the original proof of concept piece for a Directory cover and the next is the finish. It was decided to have it on a gold type image, which kind of blurs the heartbeat monitor feel, but looked quite nice when completed. Again, havn't seen the finished copies yet, shall try and get a copy later in the week.
CBC (Christian Booksellers Convention) next week and I was asked to put something together for it, justto remind people I exist as much as anything else. This is an A3 poster that may well go up on the stand and the next is the teaser cover I produced: final text (probably, nearly anyway) but no eyes on it yet... They're to come and they'll be in a slightly different style to the first two books yet obviously in keeping with it. Top image was produced almost entirely in Expression, the rest were created using Photoshop.
In other news was back at the other group this friday just gone after 5 weeks away (half term, group cancellation following staff illness, and two weeks at the Knaphil group gigs) and I'd missed them all, was good to be back. During the night I spent some time with some of our youth leaders (we have a number of adults lead and a number of teens lead as well) and since the other rooms were happily going about their business we chatted about all sorts before one asked me what was happening with book 3. Now I've deliberatley not told anyone that much about it, there are a few twists coming which will make sense when we get there, but for some reason I was feeling in the mood to mention a few upcoming events and it was great, their enthusiasm was catching and soon on in we were talking about all sorts of things that will happen to some of the characters in the Sylver series. After that we were talking about what comes next and, again, it was good to start spinning a yarn and see people wanting to catch up on what follows it. Once I'm finished on the game I'm currently playing I'll be back in writing mood big time I think.
Currently watching: Battlestar Gallactica, series 3. Currently playing: PSP/PS2. Which surprises me. No interest in a PS3 though, what, do you think I'm made of money? :)Currently prayer request: Encouagement and enthusiasm sticks, lasts and gets going good. Also for staffing changes upcoming at work and all that...
