Well, not so bad, barely bad at all, in the grand scheme of things... BUt I'm sitting in the Electric Theatre cafe, one of my favourite places, to hear the news that draft Leffe is to be discontinued.
Sigh...
The 'leccy and I go, well, not way back, but I've worked in it a few times in conjunction with the Guildford Book Festival doing a variety of family friendly art activity days, and, at the end of a day it was (and is) very pleasant indeed to sit in the quiet surroundings, drinking a coffee or a Leffe and watching the world speed by. It's not as good as the East Beach Cafe, one of my very favourite places in the world, but it ain't a bad place to be at all.
Except there'll be no more Leffe, which is a bit of a bummer.
In other news I've been buying late birthday presents, texting friends with absysees (? well, I do know do I?) and writing Sylver stuff. A pleasant Saturday in other words. Went out with wifey and the brats and we sledged down a hill a few times this morning as well. SO far, so good.
Don't tell wifey but I also bought a book in town today (Jesus wants to save the Christians) on account of the fact that I loved Velvet Elvis and this looks in the same vein. Whether it'll have the same impact, being co-written and Sex God (the successor to VE) being less attention grabbing for me, we'll find out. But the cover is ace, as was the original cover for VE (which my vicar destroyed when I lent it to him so he bought me a replacement with the less good cover :( ) so that bodes well does it not?
Apart from that I need to get back to other typing, blog was to warm up my typing finger and a half :) Hope your weekend - if you have one - is similarly chilled.
